Thoughts coming from the other side. At times it's appropriate to know where the person you disagree with is coming from. Particularly when it comes to issues of interpreting Scripture.
I like that he's somewhat thorough and at least presents views in the form of arguments.
I don't like, however, that he misrepesents the "Traditional View" and that his arguments are actually quite poor.
He also has no response for the additional and important argument that maleness/femaleness is an integral part of creation, relationships and even has metaphysical significance. The "Traditional View" is so much stronger and more complex than he makes out.
It just means the guy has a sexual drive that points him towards other men instead of women, but knowing that it is not the temptation, but the actual act that is sin, he has decided not to have sex with any men (or women for that matter).
not one to be lumped in with everyone else, i enjoy being different: i laugh when i ought to cry, i run off the sides of mountains, i can't answer the question 'where are you from?', i told my husband i loved him before i met him, and i'm a woman who is doing her part to reverse the negative trends of extreme feminism. i seek to encourage my brothers-in-Christ, and discuss ways in which women can do the same.

Although biased, his is probably the *least biased* argumentation I've read from his point of view.
Yes.
I think I might work on a reply and put it on my blog (of course I'm not expecting him to read it because many others have probably responded.)
There is quite a long response posted on the website by a celibate gay guy.
Mike, isn't that an oxymoron?
Hey Champ,
not necessarily an oxymoron.

Sorry Pirate, but you are wrong. All gays have an unsatiable sex drive, and thrive on constant anonymous sex.
really ...
well i suppose then it's no different from heterosexual men and their unsatiable sex drive thriving on constant anonymous sex.
maybe that's why they embrace gay lifestyles ... what woman would want that in a partner?
seriously, WCSN ...
ckhnat, you are absolutely right. It's not easy being a man.
I say briefly: Best! Useful information. Good job guys.
