Many of you know how I feel about Christmas ... so, is it any wonder that I find this funny?

Too funny Christine! I caught up on your blog eariler today before I left work and my laughter caught the attention of a couple of co-workers who couldn't help but chuckle too.

It is funny, but then I never believed in Santa anyway....did you?
i'm not sure that Santa was ever really a big deal in our home. I remember the kids at school talking about it a lot. One evening on our way home from church, i decided to confront my parents about it.
"Mommy ... Daddy ... ? Is Santa real?"
they exchanged THAT look. "Honey ...?" my mom said looking at my dad.
"Sure he is, Sweetie."
gasp. I couldn't believe my parents were actually lieing to me! I began to cry.
ha ha ... sort of ironic, eh ... i'm one messed up girl.
I totally believed in Santa. But I'm a very analytical person and liked to ask questions about Santa. Such as why the North Pole never looked anything alike in different Christmas movies. Or how in the world Santa could be at the mall, K-Mart, Kroger, and every Wal-Mart at the same time. And seriously, how in the world does he get around the world in one night, even if you account for non-Christians and stuff like that?
Finally, mom got tired of hearing questions and screamed, "OKAY! He's not real!! There's no such thing as Santa!!!!"
And I asked, "Well, am I still getting a Nintendo for Christmas?"
"Yes! I'm going to buy it just like I've bought the gifts for the whole d*** family every year! I swear, your father never helps with this s***!," said mom, clearly frustrated, although I had learned to expect this behavor every few weeks.
And I replied, "Yay! I'm getting Nintendo!"
